For information on the world famous Couer d'Alene District of Northern Idaho please visit the Staff House Mining Museum. Another interesting related site is a Geology Adventures Explorers Group Trip - Bunker Hill Trip

Note that the latter site is not an official accounting of mine activities but has many factual errors and is over three years old now. It is still listed on Bob's Rock Shop despite the fact that the author and the mine owner have asked him to remove the information.

I had the opportunity to visit the Bunker Hill Mine in Kellogg, Idaho on Christmas Eve of 1997. The following pictures show some of the large pieces that were extracted within the last 3 months at the New Bunker Hill Mine. I met with mine manager Bob Hopper who was kind enough to show me the big pieces and allow the photography of these killer specimens.

I again visited the Bunker Hill Mine in Kellogg, Idaho on December 29th, 1998. The mine is still quite active but primarily on the mining for zinc and silver ore and not specimens at this time. This time I was looking for some very large specimens for a client in Italy. Note that the specimens below may no longer be available.
